Fire Feature - Liberty Drive in The Peninsula at Windsong Ranch, Prosper, Texas!

Masonry projects like fire features or kitchens are very heavy, and it is important that they sit on a firm foundation. This fire and water feature is built on the shotcrete and rebar that extended out of the pool into a shelf that is 30" wide and the full length of the pool. 

The fire and water feature wall is built out of concrete block due to the complexity and to reduce the cost of forming the entire structure out of shotcrete. The top of the fire feature weighs more than 1,000lbs and is concrete that was poured in place with massive rebar ties that are concreted down into the blocks on the end and back wall. 

The flat surfaces will be covered by white marble pavers to match the deck, and the entire structure is being wrapped in white marble ledgestone for a refined finish.
